Project Highlights -

  • The project operates within 38 government schools located in Gujarat, aiming to improve educational outcomes through various interventions.
  • ther than regular activities, capacity building sessions on Menstrual Health Management (MHM), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) demonstrations and more were also conducted for knowledge enhancement of students.
  • For holistic development of children and to initiate familiarization with Indian culture, special focus has been on celebrating festivals with the kids for instance, Garba and Diya making competitions were organized during Navratri and Diwali.
  • To enhance learning experience and upgrade infrastructure of the schools, 5 digital classrooms have been established in 3 Government Schools of Gujarat.
  • Additionally, we have also worked towards basic infrastructure upgradation such as construction of separate washrooms for girls and boys, constructed drinking water facility, renovation of classroom of school premises.

Project Highlights -

  • Based on the success of the project, this year we have extended the intervention to 5 more government schools in Gujarat, covering a total of 38 government schools.
  • Other than regular activities, capacity building sessions on Menstrual Health Management (MHM), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) demonstrations etc. were conducted for knowledge enhancement of students.
  • For Holistic Development of children and to get them familiarised with Indian culture focus has been on day celebrations. For instance, Garba and Diya making competitions were organised during Navratri and Diwali.
  • In collaboration with District Education Department, a Cursive Writing Training programme has been initiated in 200 schools of the Viramgam block, benefiting 9,500 students.

Project Highlights

  • Infrastructure and digitial classroom have been developed in 33 govt. schools. Owing to the lockdown a new initiative of Ghar Bethe Gyan Ganga was launched which has been instrumental in engaging students and communities through various education online sessions.
  • Behavioral change & capacity building sessions ranged from topics of personal hygiene, proper use of toilet facilities, importance of cleanliness, gratitude, leadership skills, menstrual hygiene, adolescence related changes etc.
  • Organized online training program for schoolteachers on use of digitial medium for academic improvement, in addition to general capacity building workshops. Regular school management committee meetings continued.
  • Total 1,25,700 beneficiaries connected through the project this year.

Project Highlights -

  • With the ‘Ghar Bethe Gyan Ganga’ initiative, 2,000 students from 33 schools and villages were educated during the lockdown
  • Behavioural change and capacity building through sessions and IEC activities being conducted via online mode. The topics for sessions range from personal hygiene, proper use of toilet facilities, importance of cleanliness and how to maintain the same, menstrual hygiene, and adolescence related changes etc.
  • Menstrual hygiene sessions conducted in 33 schools under the project in coordination with AWW, ASHA, ANM.

Project Highlights

  • The baseline survey has been completed across all 33 selected government schools, with a clear intervention plan on both infrastructure and academic improvement.
  • As a part of the intervention, focus on digital learning is a key component in these schools. Under this the setting up of digital classroom (smart class and google classroom) has been completed in 10 schools and while infrastructure upgradation has been completed in 13 schools.
  • Continuous school engagement on various health and hygiene topics have been undertaken by the implementing partner (Yuva Unstoppable). These softer aspects help to create a behavioral change in the students and school staff towards the resources installed/provided in the school over the course of project period. A total of 4,917 students have benefited in the reporting month across 24 schools.
