Project Highlights
3,186 children and 2,012 women have benefited across 125 Nand Ghars around our operational areas in Rajasthan contributing to their health, nutrition, and holistic development.
Conducted over 300 health camps in collaboration with Cairn's existing MHVs and the Health Department of Barmer, focusing on the health of mothers and children.
To develop vocational skills of the youth, close to 1200 adolescent girls were offered handicraft training sessions such as macramé art, basic stitching, and beautician makeup training. Additionally, we educated the girls on the importance of good health and hygiene and distributed 1500 hygiene kits to them.
Recognising that nutrition is a crucial component for wellbeing of young children, more than 100+ malnourished children were provided with nutritious supplements throughout the year. We also celebrated a month long awareness campaign, Poshan Maah (Nutrition Month), to raise awareness pertaining to the need of nutritious and balanced diet for mothers and children. The campaign included distribution of Poshan Thali, conducting a Poshan Mela and Rally and playing recreational games across 30 Nand Ghars where more than 1,000 community members participated enthusiastically.
Taking a step forward towards sustainability, our focus has been on stronger liaisoning with regional Government, Village Sarpanch and Gram Panchayats. We have constructed toilets, roads and water tanks; arranged for electricity connections, repaired solar panels and roofs, and installed 5 Wi-Fi connection and CCTV, all with entire financial assistance from community and Gram Panchayat, resulting in a total savings of INR 21,77,899.

Project Highlights
Organised 122 Health camps along with 4 Mega Health camps in convergence with Cairn's running MHVs.
25 Nutri-Gardens have been revived, and presently 163 malnourished children are being catered to.
Introduced a new component of advancing skill set of associated adolescent girls. Under this, 5-day basic stitching training and beautician makeup training organised in 38 Nand Ghars, involving 550 adolescent girls and women.
Taking a step forward towards sustainability, our focus has been on stronger liaison with government, sarpanch and gram panchayat. We have constructed 4 toilets, arranged for electricity connection, repaired solar panels, set up 3 net and drip water facility, and installed 2 Wi-Fi connection all with entire financial assistance from community and Gram Panchayat, resulting in a total savings of INR 192,500.
To inculcate good hygiene practices, we distributed 1,500 Hygiene Kits to 1,092 Adolescent Girls across all 125 Nand Ghars.

Project Highlights
18,060 beneficiaries (3,010 were direct & 15,050 indirect beneficiaries) have been impacted from this project since inception.
In FY 21-22, approximately 655 children and 380 women have been benefitted from Nand Ghar activities contributing to their holistic development.
14 Nutri Garden /Poshan Vatika developed by leveraging with Gram Panchayat and ICDS, along with creating provision of hot cooked food at all 49 Nandghar.
Utensil distribution has been completed for handover across 50 Nand Ghars. Each kit has a set of 15 utensils which will be used for providing hot and nutritious meal to children
1,527 ECCE kits distributed to ensure improved learning outcomes for children. These kits facilitate interactive learning activities essential for cognitive development of children.
Owing to the safety of all children during Covid times, Home based visits and counselling has been conducted with 546 such visits being facilitated.
In an effort to build community ownership and sustainability, community based monitoring committees have been established.
3 Anganwadi workers from Nand Ghar were felicitated by the District Administration for their exemplary service on the occasion of International Women's Day
Multiple virtual and residential trainings have been conducted for field level workers, AWW and AWH on topics of nutrition, vaccination, pre-reading, writing etc.

Project Highlights
17,695 beneficiaries were impacted by this project, out of which 2,985 direct beneficiaries associated with the project while 14,710 were indirect beneficiaries.

Project Highlights
In order to mitigate issue of malnutrition, there is a provision created in the project to support these children with addition nutrition. As on date 95 children are been supported, out of which 85% improvement is seen among them.
Hot meal food distribution, in collaboration with ICDS, has been successfully initiated across 42 NandGhars, in addition to the focus on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). More than 1,200 children benefit through Project NandGhar every day.
Continuous efforts are made every month to increase the enrollment at these NandGhars. Various village meetings, parents′ meetings, awareness sessions, etc. are conducted regularly. More than 2,794 parents have been impacted through 49 NandGhars, resulting in enrollment of 118 new students

Monthly ‘well-baby show’ and ‘children excursions’ are conducted with a new theme each time, to motivate children and mothers for immunisation and retention of children at NandGhars. More than 574 and 797 students have benefited through monthly excursions and well-baby shows respectively.

In addition to these activities, there has been an emphasis on increased community participation to build ownership. More than 20,000 community members (including mothers, children, key stakeholders, adolescent girls, etc.) have been impacted through 11 events.
