Introduction

Cairn Oil & Gas, Vedanta, is India’s largest private oil and gas exploration and production company, contributing nearly a quarter of the nation’s domestic hydrocarbon output. Guided by the vision of creating an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, we are committed to achieving our goal of producing 50% of India’s oil and gas requirements while simultaneously transforming communities across our operational areas. Over the last three decades, our operations have expanded across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and now Assam, with a strong focus on responsible people practices, technological innovations, and environmental stewardship.

About Us

The organisation conducts it Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs through its registered society "Cairn Foundation" with the objective of improvement in the socio-economic status of the local community in our operational areas. We are committed to empowering the local communities in our areas of operation and support their sustainable as well as inclusive growth.

Cairn Foundation, a registered not-for-profit society under the Haryana Registration & Regulation of Societies Act, 2012 serves as the governing body that executes the CSR initiatives. Our CSR programs are designed across the following thematic areas:

The CSR interventions at Cairn Oil & Gas are conceptualised and designed through a structured process of formal needs assessment. Each initiative is designed on the principles of community participation and ownership, government partnership, inclusivity, and sustainability. To further strengthen the project ownership and reach, efforts are made to align project objectives with the existing government schemes/funds. Working in close collaboration with district administration, various government departments, and diligently chosen CSR partner agencies have played a key role in ensuring smooth and effective business operations.
