Project Highlights

• 542 severely malnourished cases were identified across Barmer among children below the age of 6 years. Cairn facilitated the provision of nutritious supplements ('Ladoo') to improve their growth and nutritional intake.
• Till date, 2,81,840 nutritious supplements have been distributed.
• In the time span of 3 months, remarkable reduction in malnourishment cases has been recorded. 166 have moved from SAM (severely malnourished) to MAM (moderately malnourished) and 155 have completed recovered.
• Extended one-time support in the form of 1,50,000 Hemoglobin strips to ease the detection of anemic cases, obtain fast results, and better outreach.
• To ensure the dissemination of right information in context of health, hygiene, and nutrition, Nutrition Booklet was launched on January 12, 2022, during Nirogi Rajasthan Mela by the District Collector and MLA of Barmer along with Brig. BS Shekhawat from the Cairn Team.
